Dealing with Death- A paper that I wrote which talks about my first experience with death, as well as what I want when I die. Sounds morbid, but the class was "Psychology of Death and Dying."
New written by Drago Dear Grammy- A book written by Drago for Young Author's. His book reflects how much he misses his Grammy Leary since her death.
Domestic Violence- This paper takes a look at the use of gender specific terms being used in Domestic Violence Awareness.
New Family Assessment- This is a paper that I had to complete for my Family Dynamics class. In order to complete the paper I had to assess my family of origin using the Couple and Family Map Model. This assessment could not be based on our own knowledge, we had to interview a family member, I choose my brother Dan Leary.
New Feral and Isolated Children- A paper about feral children (children raised with little or no human contact). This paper was written as a final paper for Sociology.
The Fire That Consumed Generations- A speech that I gave to my Oral Communications Class about the Great Chicago Fire and how that catastrophe has become a family legend for my Leary ancestors.
How Much Are You Willing to Lose to Drink and Drive?- My Math term paper. I figured out the total financial loss of drunk drivers in three counties, then figured out how much alcohol they could have purchased if they did not have to pay fines and lose time from work. Some figures may surprise you!
Human Services- This paper takes a look at the field of human services and what I can expect to do for a job, salary, and all of that good stuff.
New Improving Foster Care Guidelines in Newaygo County- A business report that I completed for one of my classes. In this paper I discuss some recent cases of child abuse in foster homes and ways to improve foster care requirements in Newaygo County.
Irrational Thinking- Here is one of those self analysis papers I was telling you about.
Martin Luther King, Jr.- Here we were assigned a paper to find out what the 1963 March on Washington was all about and how far has our nation come since then?
A Memorable Meal- This is a story about what we did on June 19, 2005. The main part of the story discusses how our Father's Day dinner was almost ruined.
New written by Jaguar The Mini Magic Family- This is a story that Jaguar wrote for Young Author's. It is about a circus family with a few problems.
Mothers- A reflective essay that discusses my relationship with my own mother. (Warning: Some that have read this required tissues before they were done!)
A Mouse about the House- This is a creative story that I had to write for my Oral Communications class. When I tried to read this to my class I had to stop reading, because I was laughing so hard.
My Dog- A book that Drago wrote for Young Author's. This story earned him local and county awards!
My Handyman- A cute story about how I learned a lot about Chris on our worst date. This was not an assignment, I just wrote it because it was worth writing!
Newaygo County Community Services- This is a research paper that I had to do on a human services agency.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder- A look at how this disorder is handled and the possibility of classifying the disorder in a different way in order to better serve individuals diagnosed with P.T.S.D.
New written by Martian Prisoner of War- A book that Martian wrote for Young Author's. This is a historical fiction work about a young soldier and his time in a P.O.W. camp in World War II Germany.
You are Intuitive: You Just Ingore It- A speech that I gave to my Oral Communications Class about trusting gut instinct.
